For me, the street is more than a place — it's a flow, a state of consciousness. Street 54 is not a planned project. These 54 frames were taken in different cities, under different conditions, and in different states of mind. But looking back, they came together to form a single whole. Each one, with its own loud noise or deep silence, touched the others. This book is a map of an unknowing journey. If a photograph stops you for a moment — even if you don't know why — then it has achieved its purpose.
